Mechanical technician apprentice

Mazda de Boucherville is looking for a Mechanical Technician Apprentice to complete its team!

Task description:

The main tasks are listed below, but the apprentice technician can be assigned to other functions:

• Perform the work described on the repair order with efficiency and precision, according to the standards of the Mazda manufacturer;

• Determine the cause of any defect and make the repair according to the standards of the manufacturer Mazda and Mazda de Boucherville;

• Contact the parts department to obtain the necessary parts

• Inspect the assigned vehicle to determine if additional safety and maintenance work is required;

• Inspect and road test newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage or missing items;

• Notify the technical advisor and / or the service manager as soon as possible if additional work is required;

• Install the optional equipment requested by the customer or by the dealership;

• Report any defect or malfunction of the equipment to the service manager;

• Indicate clearly and according to established standards all work performed and recommended on the repair order;

• Test drive the vehicle before and after repairs;

• Participate in the training programs required to keep the skill level up to date;

• Keep abreast of technical bulletins and measures from the Mazda manufacturer;

• Ensure extreme cleanliness and order in the workshop;

• Maintain and be responsible for all tools and manuals belonging to the company;

• Perform any other task as required and as directed by management.

Experience required: 1 year ideally or great willingness and ability to learn.
